NBA Playoffs 2007

Despite the fact that my wife hates it when I write about sports, I am going to do it anyway. The following are my picks for the NBA Playoff challenge I have instigated with my Brother In Law. He will most likey own me in this but here goes. After the team name, is the number of games I believe they will win in the entirety of the playoffs.

San Antonio Spurs 16
Dallas Mavericks 11
Phoenix Suns 6
Houston Rockets 7
Utah Jazz 4
Denver Nuggets 2
LA Lakers 2
Golden State Warriors 2

Cleveland Cavaliers 14
Miami Heat 11
Detroit Pistons 7
Toronto Raptors 5
Chicago Bulls 3
New Jersey Nets 3
Orlando Magic 2
Washington Wizards 0

hmmm...5 teams in the west winning at least 4 games? i'm not sure how that works, but the west probably deserves to have a bonus team in the 2nd round.

I knew I would screw that up. Jazz 3 wins.

how does the scoring work? here's what i propose...

if you get it right, you get those points. (ex. I'll be getting 16 points for the Pistons)

if you get it wrong, you get there win # minus how many off you were.

holla back

Exactly like that. So say the Wizards win three games this series, I picked them to win 0, so I would lose three points. Lets say the Pistons (my pick for 11 points) beat the spurs in 5.
Pistons 16 (5 more than I picked)=11 for me
Spurs 13 (3 less than I picked)=10 points for me.

Does that help.

hey- what if we're right about a team winning no games?

then you are not penalized any games.
