First Annual Man Weekend

This is the weekend where several things collide. First thing, my Father-In-Law turns 60 tomorrow (Happy Birthday), and while I could not be more excited for him, it does mean my wife and daughter are not going to be home. Second thing, next week is Holy Week which is a notoriously busy time in the lives of pastors and their families. This Holy Week will be no different for me this year, and needless to say this it would be helpful to have this weekend to get work done. Third thing, T-Ball coaching continues again tomorrow with pictures at 8am and our game beginning around 9:00. Fourth thing, my office at church is in a weird limbo. I am strongly leaning towards moving my office to the youth building to create some much needed office space for the rest of the staff, but my office is in shambles right now. Believe it or not the shambles are a positive thing because it means the four filing cabinets that have haunted me for the last year are finally gone. Freedom!!! Fifth thing, I decided to keep this running diary so that I could remember what I have done over the next four days, and likewise so my wife can see what we are up to if she’s interested.
