Running Diary of Man Weekend (cont.)

2:08pm Well that’s over finally. It was a good T-Ball game today actually, quite a bit of fun even though the feed was really wet. After the game I swung by the store and got some much needed refreshments for the rest of Man Weekend- RC Cola and Helluva Good Dip. I am officially ready for the Final Four to start now.

2:17pm We have just started Empire Strikes Back, and I am giddy. I think this is the litmus test for Star Wars fans, if ESB is not your favorite, then you drop at least two notches. If your favorite is Return of the Jedi, that could be legit, but if its because you think the Ewoks are cute, then you should not be allowed to be considered a fan.

3:23pm Too many good Han Solo lines to mention all of them (though this site has an impressive list). I do really like, “Laugh it up fuzzball?” It also needs to be noted that there may be no other set of movies with worse acting that we love. Top three series with bad acting but still great films: 1. Star Wars 2. The Matrix 3. Karate Kid (Rocky almost broke the top three, but Keanu Reeves is tough to beat out)

3:41pm My favorite dialogue in the entire series: Yoda: Always with you it can not be done…Not different. Only different in your mind. You must unlearn what you have learned…No, no. No try. Do or do not. There is no try. It also occurred to me, that Mr. Miagi is basically a Japanese Yoda. All we needed was Luke catching a fly with chop sticks. Plus they both have hair in wierd places.

5:15pm Start of the Georgetown and OSU game. I don’t care who wins this, I like Georgetown, and OSU is from the Big Ten, so either way. Also my kids have me skipping back and forth between this and Indoor Soccer. Indoor Soccer is great, I wonder why there isn’t more of a following.

6:30pm Mid-game Crushers action. Calvin dominated winning 32-4. Josh had a few drops, but Calvin was in a zone. I don’t think he missed a tackle all game. Overall total:

7:01pm The game is all but over, with the Big Ten reigning supreme. I live in Texas, and have seen Durant dominate whole stretches of games and he is amazingly good. I am a Badger fan, and have seen the consistency and the grit of Tucker all year. I have also seen like 12 OSU games in the last month. Oden is a force, when he is on the floor, but I don’t know if there is anyone better in the country than Mike Conley Jr. This guy is absurd. So quick, so in control, and he just consistently dominates people when Oden is not on the floor.

7:06pm Its official, OSU with the win. Bold prediction time, if Florida beats UCLA they will win the National championship, but if UCLA wins tonight, OSU will win it.
